These are just three of the many vertebrate species facing possible extinction because of human activities.

Finally, students could be asked to present their research to a panel made up of other students, or even teachers or community members.

Panel members can take on the roles of relevant stakeholders, such as residents in the area where the species lives, conservationists or members of the business community.
