Physics Ocr Coursework Mark Schemes-3
Thanks again My understanding, at least from one mark scheme I was looking at recently, is that allowance is made in a final answer for the value you used from the earlier part. I honestly don't believe any exam board will penalise this. Hi, For question 1bi the mark scheme says the mass of air propelled downwards in 5 seconds is 6,126kg.I've seen two final answers given depending on the value used. However when I was calculating this I rounded a little earlier on (as I've seen them do this in other questions) so the answer I got was 6,125kg. Thank you My understanding, at least from one mark scheme I was looking at recently, is that allowance is made in a final answer for the value you used from the earlier part. I honestly don't believe any exam board will penalise this. Right so for OCR, from what I've seen they prefer you to use the most accurate value you've calculated for any further calculations, the only exception to this is when they state something for example, "show that force is about 10N" Then you'd use the values you've been given.Specification overview for ocr gateway gcse physics free support ocr gateway gcse science c5: how much (quantitative analysis) (doc) answers to the ocr gateway gcse science student book questions unit c5 free support ocr gateway gcse science b6: beyond the microscope (doc) answers to the ocr gateway gcse science student book questions unit b6.

* You only need to worry about how many sig figs to give in your final answers when the question specifically asks you to use an appropriate number of sig figs. There is one mark given/lost for getting/not getting the correct number of sig figs.
