If you have graduated from high school, will soon graduate from high school, or will receive a GED and you have not enrolled in another college or university since graduating, apply for freshman admission. Use the following step-by-step instructions to successfully submit your application to UTEP.

Like other Texas public universities, we use the Apply Texas application.

Fall: February 14 Spring: October 15 Summer: April 1 Applications are still accepted after the priority dates for each term, however for guaranteed consideration of admission, please submit the application and required documents by the priority date.

Presidential Scholarship: December 3 Federal Student Aid: January 15 Maverick Academic Scholarship: February 14 Please note that some deadlines are earlier than application priority dates.

If you have college or university course work, an official transcript will be needed from each college or university you attended.

Please remember we will need an updated transcript from your high school after your graduation date.You must submit your admissions application, along with all required documents to be considered for these scholarships.The SAT score is calculated by combining the highest evidence based Reading, Writing, and Math score.Applicants seeking to qualify for the fee waiver must demonstrate that the application fee presents a significant financial hardship.Bound for Success is an exclusive program available to select students in Arlington, Grand Prairie and Mansfield school districts.The Early Admission Program at UTA is available to applicants who wish to begin their college education following their sophomore or junior year of high school.Applicants who satisfy admission requirements may enroll in university classes while being concurrently enrolled in high school. S high schools are eligible for admission as EAP students.If you are a first time, first-year student who have completed the Distinguished diploma type, foundations with endorsements, or an equivalent advanced high school program, but do not meet the admissions requirements as stated in Paths 1 and 2, you are eligible for admissions through the University’s reviewed Admission Program: the START Program.The START Program offers mathematics and/or English (reading and writing) instruction during the first term of enrollment to prepare students for successful completion of college-level mathematics and English courses.Under the provisions of Texas House Bill 5 (83rd Texas Legislature, Regular Session), students with a minimum of a Foundation level of high school diploma are eligible to apply for admission to Texas public institutions for higher education.To this end, UTEP will accept applications for admission from students who have achieved a minimum Foundation level high school diploma. You are assured admission if you are graduating from an accredited high school and present the required combination of high school class rank and college entrance test scores indicated below.
